Volunteers from the ARCANE network held a scientific booth the 19th and 20th of May, at the GIANT’s Hydrogen Days. It was a great opportunity for our early career researchers to share their enthusiasm with high school students, and bring ARCANE research outside the lab. Discussing the role that dihydrogen may play as key chemical in a carbon-free economy, and using simple experiments, our young researchers walk the visitors through the basic principles of green H2 production from direct water electrolysis with a special emphasis on the potential of bioinspiration to develop the next generation catalysts for this process. Both the public and the researchers enjoyed the event and we hope to see many of the high school students joining the ARCANE community in the coming years!
Special thanks to Noah, Steve, Angelica, Bertrand, Claire, Leonard, Louis, Matthieu, Mariam, and Nabil for setting up and animating the booth.
