The Village was located in proximity to Grenoble in the magnificent Vercours Mountains. The conference was preceded by a summer school on 22-24 September focusing on both experimental and spectroscopic techniques in the scope of the conference. This conference was localized in well reknowned scientific pole of Grenoble in Imaging and detection. It took advantage of the exceptional environment provided by the Institute of Metals in Biology of Grenoble. We were delighted to invite, similar to previous international conferences reknowned speakers in this field, with more than 80 participants worldwide.
The conference
The program covered all aspects of the use of metal complexes in biological imaging and detection, including:
- Spectroscopy (X-ray fluorescence)
- Radiolabelling, emission tomography
- Luminescence
- Magnetic Resonance imaging (MRI)
- Contrast agents for PARACEST
- In cellulo detection
The advanced course
This course hosted a limited number of lectures given by internationally renowned scientists. The format of the courses facilitated strong interactions between lecturers and attendees. Our aim was to provide a top-level teaching in a highly stimulating and non-intimidating environment for graduate students, post-doc, and young scientists. Students and young researchers were strongly encouraged to attend these courses. Topics focus on the use of metal complexes in spectroscopy, radiolabeling, luminescence, MRI and cellular imaging.
