Science Fair

Since 2013, ARCANE has participated in the Science Fair organized at the Parvis des Sciences by GIANT campus and its Grenoble partners. Open to the public, this event brings together more than 3600 visitors and elementary and high school students around research themes by promoting exchanges between scientists and citizens. ARCANE‘s booth «Chemists at Nature’s School» presents its professions and their research activities through fun, bright and gourmet experiences. Colour chemistry, energy, gels or luminescence are on the program to discover the links between chemistry and the living while revealing how Nature inspires and motivates researchers.
 

For this edition of the Fête de la Science, Angela Martin-Serrano-Ortiz has designed an workshop on click chemistry.
ARCANE‘s booth «I become the click chemist for a day» focuses on the 2022 Nobel Prize in Chemistry awarded to scientists Carolyn Bertozzi, Morten Meldal and K. Barry Sharpless for their work on click chemistry and bio-orthogonal chemistry.


 

As part of the Science Fair 2021, we invite you to discover Hamed 'Noah' Nohadani, winner of the Arcane scientific demonstration competition. Noah is working, in Issei Otsuka's team at the Cermav laboratory, on the fabrication of micro/nanofiber layers, using the electrospinning method.
