Synthesis of Polyphenols and their evaluation as inhibitors of Tau fibrillation.

The aim is both the synthesis of polyphenols with a pyrogallol motif and their evaluation using a novel fluorescence polarisation assay.

My name is Cécile Dupont, and I graduated in 2024 with a master’s degree in "Chemistry for Life Sciences". I am currently a PhD student at the Departments of Molecular Pharmacochemistry (DPM) and Molecular Chemistry (DCM). Curious and passionate, I have a strong interest in organic chemistry and its applications in biology and health. This led me to work on Alzheimer’s disease, a major public health issue, during my master’s internship, where I explored the synthesis of new molecules and developed a test to improve biochemical evaluation reliability. Pursuing a PhD with Arcane was an obvious choice for its multidisciplinary approach and interlaboratory collaboration. After my PhD, I aim to pursue a postdoc abroad to broaden my horizons and perfect my English.
