On May 5, Labex Arcane brought together over a hundred chemists for its Scientific Day. A day rich in encounters and exchanges!
Scientific presentations enhanced the day:
- Gilles Guichard, CNRS Director at the European Institute of Chemistry and Biology, presented his work on Chemical Tools to Structurally Mimic Protein Domains and Disrupt Protein Interactions.
- Isabelle Lémonon, historian at Cermes3, talked about the Matilda effect to better understand the invisibilization of women in science.
- Keynotes lectures:
- Electrocatalytic CO2 conversion with a molecularly engineered Co cathode by Bertrand Reuillard (LCBM)
- Design of bio-targeted model systems using tunable surface chemistry and physico-chemical characterization tools by Galina Dubacheva (DCM)
- Development of nanomolecular theranostic agents and instruments for NIR/SWIR detection & therapy by Xavier Le Guével (IAB)
- PhD and post-doc oral presentations
The day ended with a poster and presentation awards, the winners of which are:
- Preslav Smits (Arcane doctoral student) for best oral presentation
- Océane Ricloux and Baptiste Chartier for best posters
