Design, synthesis and characterization of monoclonal antibody mimics

Design of small antibody mimics of the Rituximab using a fully synthetic approach combining aptamers and peptides.

After graduating from the « Institut des Sciences Pharmaceutiques et Biologiques » of Lyon with a masters degree in « Health engineering » in 2020, I started a PhD funded by the Arcane fellowship.
I first heard about this thematic during my masters internship with the « Ingénierie et Interaction Biomoléculaires » » team (I2BM), specialized in bioorganic chemistry and physicochemical characterization of biomolecular systems. I decided to apply to the project for its multidisciplinary trait as it is a collaboration with the « Nouveaux Outils de Vectorisation et d’Analyse » team (NOVA) which aims to develop tools for the administration and vectorisation of compounds dedicated to biomedical applications.
Thus, this opportunity to combine bio-organic chemistry, biophysical characterization and biomedical applications fits perfectly as the climax of my academic education.
As a conclusion, although I remain open to all opportunities, thus far, I am aiming to become a research-teaching fellow.
