Rapid kit which detects a pathogenic Escherichia coli strain with aptamers and then quantify them through ATP measurement.
After the obtention of my master’s degree in biomarkers and in vitro diagnostics (IVD), I continue to work during six months in an IVD company. Wishing to do a thesis, I was able to find a subject submitted by the DPM that corresponded to me in every way. Indeed, I was already familiar with the development of a diagnostic kit and the public health issue of slowing down the spread of microbial infections with my previous experience, and it is exactly the purpose of my PhD project.
Funded by the Arcane labex, this project allows the possibility of working on multidisciplinary fields, such as chemistry, biochemistry and biology. The collaborative work between the different laboratories of the labex offers an enriching and versatile experience.
After my PhD, I would like to return to the industry, where I enjoyed the experience. However, I am not opposed to an academic career.
